Carrick Hill

Carrick Hill is one of Adelaide’s iconic stately homes. Its magnificent garden setting and stunning views of Adelaide has made it a particular favourite for engagement parties and wedding receptions.

Red Jam took over the running of events and managing the cafe in 2007. The standard of both now reflects the grandeur of the location.

We refurbished the existing (permanent) marquee, dressed it with silk lining and put in crystal chandeliers. Then we looked at the beautiful setting, and decided wedding parties shouldn’t be the only ones to enjoy it. That’s why we began marketing Carrick Hill to the corporate sector. It is the perfect place for product launches and day conferences. We even host board meetings in the splendid dining room of Carrick Hill. Red Jam has transformed a delightful, but one-dimensional, venue into a place where anything is possible.

The Cafe was a little sad, and didn’t provide much choice for visitors. So, we gutted it, and started again – new look, new furniture, new kitchen, new cutlery and crockery, new food, new attitude, new everything. Now, when people visit Carrick Hill, they’re able to enjoy a range of freshly prepared food and beverages in a relaxed indoor/outdoor environment that takes full advantage of the beautiful setting.
